Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Latest news about the 2021 season
The key elements of the Government's Roadmap announced on Monday 22 February affecting the operation of league competitions are shown further down this news article.

The Committee is planning to start league fixtures and competitions from Thursday 20 May. This is two weeks later than normal. For the first month, only one match can be played on a green and other rinks will be restricted to no more than 6 players. There will be no after match meals.

Club Secretaries have been asked to return the 2021 entry form by Wednesday 31 March to enter teams for the league and League Triples Competition and enter a player for the League Singles Competition.

The fees paid for 2020 will be applied to 2021. Any Club whose entries are less that made for 2020 will have their excess fees refunded.

In April the Committee will prepare and publish fixtures for 2021.

The AGM is deferred to December 2021. There are no proposals for changes to the Constitution & Rules.

Key elements from the Roadmap
1. From 29 March 6 people or 2 households can gather outside and outdoor sports can start.
2. No earlier than 17 May up to 30 people can gather outside, and 6 people or 2 households can gather inside.
3. No earlier than 21 June all social restrictions will be removed.

Player/s short for a league match?
A match is valid when one team has as few as nine players, being one short per rink. Therefore, one or more rinks may play four players with eight bowls against three players with six bowls. There is no deduction from scores. For the sequence of play click here.
